West Thunder Community Centre
Mission Statement
To establish and operate a community centre in the City of Thunder Bay, providing workshops, programs, athletics, drama, art, music, handcrafts, hobbies and recreation for the benefit of the general public.
The design depicts happy people, both children and adults, coming together for fun and camaraderie at the community centre. The figures are drawn informally, with ragged edges, to set the scene for a leisurely atmosphere welcoming all ages. Upheat and inviting colour of bright blue and green were chosen. The lettering below puts emphasis on the words "community centre" because the building is more than just a place - it is meant to be truly a part of our community. Above all, the logo presents the spirit of enthusiam and the sense of togetherness that helped build our centre.
